Appartamento ristrutturato di 180 metri quadrati al quindicesimo piano di una delle due torri gemelle di Largo V Alpini a Milano che colpisce per la luminosità. La vista spazia a 360 gradi sulla città: da una parte il nuovo skyline di Porta Nuova, dall’altra City Life. Infine, a nord, le Alpi che nelle giornate limpidesi ammirano dalle finestre dello studio e della cucina. La luce naturale e le diverse sfumature del cielo invadono l’ampio open space rendendo meno rigida la separazione tra dentro e fuori. L’aspetto conservativo è tra gli elementi che ha condotto il progetto e gli interventi ex novo convivono con l’esistente in maniera armoniosa in un rapporto di mutua valorizzazione. Ambienti separati da velari e attento riuso dei materiali originari, ma anche introduzione di arredi fissi su disegno completano il progetto.

Restored 180-square-metre apartment on the fifteenth floor of one of the twin towers in Largo V Alpini in Milan, that strikes for its brightness. The view extends all over the city: on one side the new Porta Nuova skyline, on the other City Life. Lastly, to the north, the Alps that can be admired from the study’s and the kitchen’s windows on clear days. The natural light and the different shades of the sky invade the wide-open space making the boundary between inside and out less rigid. The conservative aspect is among the elements that have led the project, and the new interventions coexist with the existing spaces in a harmonious and mutually enhancing way. Spaces separated by curtains and careful reuse of original materials, but also the introduction of fixed furnishings complete the project.
